Joyce M. Bush
84, Greenwood, passed away Jan. 28, 2013. She was born July 14, 1928 in Indianapolis to the late Chesley and Sophie Mottern. She married Gurney Bush in 1971, who preceded her in death July 17, 2011.
She was employed over 20 years by General Motors Corporation , retiring in 1971. Later she and her husband started Gurney J. Bush, Inc., retiring in 1990. After retirement, she enjoyed time spent with her husband at their home in Ft. Myers, FL. Survivors include her son James Joyce of Indianapolis; step-son Gary (Kay) Bush of Martinsville; step-daughter Stephanie (David) Hamilton of Greenwood; two grandchildren and three great grand children. She was also preceded in death by her brother John Mottern.
A memorial service will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, January 31 in Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center with visitation from 4:00 PM until the service at the mortuary. Private entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial gifts have been suggested to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
