Jasmine "Jazzy" Lane-Jacobs Obituary

Jasmine Nicole Lane-Jacobs, beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, and friend left this world on April 14th, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis on February 14th, 2002 and brought immeasurable joy to all who knew her. Her passing has left a void that can never be filled.

Jasmine's family meant everything to her. She was the loving daughter of Franky Jacobs Jr., and she cherished the memories with her mother Jennifer Lane who preceded her in death. She was her grandmother Angela Marie Garcia Goodall redheaded beauty who preceded in her death. Jasmine adored spending time with her siblings Angela Lane-Jacobs, Marcus Timberlake, Janet Dade; nephews Elijah Lane-Jacobs and Eddiel Ortiz; niece Eliana Ortiz, as well as grandparents Angelena Shaffer, Keith Shaffer, Franky Jacobs Sr.; aunts Ashley Lane (Lyle), Melissa Rodriguez (Brandon); uncles Michael Lane (Samone), Pancho Rodriguez (Katelyn); along with several other aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.Jasmine had an infectious personality that lit up every room she entered. Her love for music was evident in the way she danced and sang with such passion. She had a talent for drawing that captivated those around her and found solace in crocheting beautiful pieces of artistry. Jasmine also loved experimenting with makeup and sharing her expertise with her cousins and friends. 

Her sense of humor was unparalleled - always quick-witted and ready to bring laughter into any situation. Jasmine's fearless spirit allowed her to find hope even during difficult times while spreading positivity wherever she went.

She will be remembered for being an incredible cook who enjoyed preparing meals for friends and family gatherings where everyone felt welcome at their table.

Despite facing personal challenges throughout life’s journey Jasmine remained resilient by finding strength within herself which inspired others around her.

The impact she made on those around cannot be overstated – from philosophical discussions to moments spent simply enjoying each other’s company – Jasmine touched countless lives leaving behind memories that will forever remain cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

  May we find comfort knowing that although our time together was far too short we are blessed beyond measure having been graced by such an extraordinary soul whose light will continue shining brightly within us all forevermore.

Service for Jasmine will be 5:30 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024, at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana 46241 with calling from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
