Robert Ray Bucy passed away on December 30th in his home surrounded by love. He was born April 4, 1941 to the late Roy and Dollie Pearl Garrigus Bucy.

Robert spent his career in law enforcement as a postal inspector both in Indiana and California, retiring from the inspection service. He was a kind and gentle man of strong faith and shared his love of Jesus to everyone he could. He lived that faith every day. He loved to dance and enjoyed going to see his son's band. His beautiful smile could light up any room.

Robert lost his wife, the love of his life, Judith Marie Morford Bucy in 2006. He lost his son Brian in June 2001 and toddler son Matthew Thomas in Feb 1965. Robert leaves son Russ Bucy, daughter Angela (Vincent) Bucy-Oliveri, niece Brenda (Jim) Bennett, grandson Jake Riester, sisters, Marian (Ken) Bucy Poynter, Helen (Bill) Bucy Crady, and Virginia (Russ) Bucy Wells, brother David (Fran) Bucy and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Services for Robert will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be Thursday, January 3, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Mortuary. Interment will follow at New Crown Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial gifts be given to Lewy Body Dementia Association.

To: Russ, Angela, and the rest of your family, I am so sorry for the loss of your Father. I had met him but did not know him very well; however, everyone who knew him talks about what a kind and gentle man he was, and how sad that he had to go through such a painful past several months. You have honored him with your devotion to him in caring for him, and you have done well. God Bless all of you.

So many wonderful memories (and dances) with Bob. Will certainly miss our holiday card exchanges and our conversations over dinner at Pete's. Godspeed, my dear friend...til we all meet again! Peace to all the Bucy family.

Russ and Angie,
Your mom and dad were two of the kindest gentlest people that I ever knew.
We will miss seeing your dad on the dance floor dancing with every lady in the house and having a ball. I’m now sure he is dancing in heaven with your mother. Jennifer and I love you guys dearly and are praying for your family and your mom and dad.
IOur deepest sympathy Jennifer and Kevin

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Had the privilege of knowing and working with him while assigned to the Indianapolis Division of the Postal Inspection Service and took over his position when he was transferred to the Los Angeles Division of the Inspection Service.

Russ - I was saddened to read about your dad. I think I enjoyed watching him when you played as much as I enjoyed your music. He was the life of the party! I’m sure he will be greatly missed. Thinking about you.
