William "Bill" Bode Obituary

William Louis Bode, 76, of Greenwood passed away March 7 at his home. He was born August 9, 1945 in Enid Oklahoma to the late Henry and Ethel Bode. Bill was married to the love of his life, Janet Nichols on February 4, 1967. He was employed as a project manager Asc. at Lockheed Martin for 20 years retiring in 2012. Prior to that he worked for IBM for over 25 years. Bill enjoyed traveling, square dancing and especially spending time with family.

Bill is survived by his wife Janet Bode; daughter Kimberly Edwards (Toney); grandson William Edwards; brothers Deryle Bode (Marnell) and Phillip Bode (Glynden); and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in passing by his parents Henry and Ethel Bode and brother Leslie Bode.

Services for Bill will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2020 at Swartz Family Community Mortuary, 300 South Morton Street (US 31) Franklin, Indiana 46131. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Sycamore at Mallow Run, 7070 West Whiteland Road,
Bargersville, Indiana 46106 with a time of sharing at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Online condolences may be extended to the family by visiting www.singletonmortuary.com.
