Velma Ann Strahl

Velma Ann Strahl, 85, of Pendleton, passed away June 26, 2022. 

She was born October 21, 1936 in Indianapolis to the late Nicholas and Loretta Nauert Augustine. 

She was an employee of Indianapolis southside schools for many years where she was a dedicated part of the janitorial staff and where she made many friends. 

She is survived by her son Michael (Beverly) Strahl of New Castle; daughter, Elizabeth (Dan) Ousterhoudt of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Michael (Erin) Strahl of Middletown, Matthew (Crystal) Strahl of Chicago, IL, and Nikki Scott of Rincon, GA; and great grandchildren, Chase, Emma, Olivia, Victoria, and Liam. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her granddaughter, Angela Shaw. 

Funeral Services for Velma will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2022, at N.F. Chance Funeral Home, 504 National Avenue, Indianapolis. 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service at the funeral home. 

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
