Toni Lee (Creekbaum) Smith - Indianapolis

Our sweet Toni went home to our Lord on the afternoon of Monday, January 27, 2020 after a long battle with lung cancer. She was born September 29, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter of Earl Dwight Creekbaum and Velva Lee (Sexton) Creekbaum.

Toni had been employed as an Administrative Assistant most of her working career and most recently had worked with Evoqua Water Technologies in Indianapolis. Toni enjoyed spending her leisure time taking long walks at Eagle Creek Park, coaching Little League, cooking, listening to music and at one time had been a Zumba instructor. Toni deeply loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them, especially her grandchildren. She had a servant’s heart and received great joy in serving others.

To say that Toni loved life was an understatement as she loved life, family and people. She never met a stranger and every day was a celebration to her. This world will be a lesser place without her sparkling eyes. Toni loved the Lord and devotedly served Him as a member of New Hope Christian Church in Whitestown.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, John R. Smith; her son, Scott Smith; her mother, Velva Haney; her grandchildren, Jordynn Jaggers and Lewis Smith; sisters, Kimberly Morgan, Pamela Beck, Joann Creekbaum and Nancy Creekbaum as well as several aunts, uncles and friends.

In addition to her father, Toni was preceded in passing by her sisters, Vicky Creekbaum and Cheryl Leach.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm, Sunday, February 2, 2020 at New Hope Christian Church, 5780 South Main Street, Whitestown, IN. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until the hour of service at the church.
