Reta Sethman-House Obituary

Indianapolis – Reta J. (Hamner) Sethman-House, 86, passed away on March 31st, 2023 of natural causes surrounded by her loved ones. Reta was born June 30th, 1936, in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Bryan Hamner and Viola (Wigner) Hamner.

She is survived by her children Kevin Sethman, Michele (Sethman) Ferrell (Jeffrey), Gregory Sethman (Dawn), and Kim House; her grandchildren Elizabeth (Ferrell) Inskeep (Tim), Seth Ferrell (Emily), Jonathan Sethman (Hannah), and Nicholas Sethman (Christina); her 4 great-grandchildren Anna Inskeep, Amelia Inskeep, Logan Ferrell, and Garrett Ferrell.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Orville C. Sethman in 1979, her Husband Jefferson E. House in 2017, her parents, her five brothers, and her four sisters.

The family will be holding a private celebration of life in lieu of services at her request. Reta was a long-time member of Post Road Christian Church (Formerly E 38th St Christian Church). We invite you to make a donation to Post Road Christian Church in her honor, in lieu of sending flowers.
