Lois Margaret (Beason) Shockley

Lois Margaret Shockley, 84, of Indianapolis passed away August 2, 2021. She was born March 2, 1937 in Beatrice, Nebraska to the late Alvin and Marie (Kinsey) Beason.  Lois was an avid reader and crossword puzzle worker. She was an active member in the V.F.W. #1587. Lois was a member of The Church of God.

Lois is survived by her children Dorothea Stevenson, Morris Michael Coons, Scott Andrew Coons, and Jay; sister Esther Arington (Barbee); eight grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Lois was preceded in passing by her husband Charles Shockley and her brother Dale Beason.

Visitation for Lois will be Friday, August 6, 2021 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis, Indiana.  The family will receive friends from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at the mortuary.  Online condolences may be offered by visiting www.singletonmortuary.com
