Linquos "LH" Shrewsbury

Linquos Hereford “LH” Shrewsbury, 82 of Nineveh, Indiana passed away peacefully on January 11, 2019 at Community South Hospital surrounded by his wife and children. He was a retired mechanic and bus driver with Indianapolis Metro Bus system. LH was born in Micajah, WV on March 24, 1936 to Carl and Anna (Graham) Shrewsbury and served in the Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife and best friend of almost 60 years, Kathryn (Katie Mabe) Shrewsbury and his two doting daughters, Yvonne Sloan (David) and Ronda Weybright (Nick).  

Family meant everything to LH and he was keenly aware of his importance in their lives and was always accompanied to appointments and enjoyed frequent visits with his family.  He was also blessed to have 6 amazing grandchildren, Ashley and David Jr. (MacKenzie) Sloan, Michael Surak, and Max, Mea and Jack Weybright; and 2 Great Grandchildren, Peyton and Everlee; and many loving nieces and nephews.

LH was one of those people who could make you love him within minutes of meeting him.  He was witty, quick with a joke or a line that caught you off guard and made you want to engage with him.  He won you over quickly.  

LH is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Drema Akers, Weldon and David Shrewsbury, Carol Sue White and Danese Linko. He was preceeded in death by two brothers and one sister, Carl Jr., Jerald and Trilba Gae Hartsoe.  In addition to blood relatives, there are several people who called LH family and will miss him terribly, including his dear and close friend, Dave Atwood.  
In lieu of flowers, please continue posting memories, comments and photos on LH’s Facebook page as his family loves seeing them.  A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 3 -7 pm at the Clary Crossing Senior Villas at the clubhouse at 3226 Clary Blvd N Dr., Greenwood 46143.
