Larry Joe Lankford

Family Tribute-

Larry Joe Lankford passed away on August 25, 2023. He was born December 18,1947 in Vincennes, Indiana to the late Reatha and Willard Lankford. Larry served his country proudly from 1965-1997 retiring Honorably. He received many awards including National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam service medal w/3 bronze service stars, Vietnam campaign metal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/palm, 2 overseas bars, Army Commendation medal w/1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Purple Heart and Good Conduct medal 3d award.

Larry was survived by his son Brian Lankford and daughter Michelle Williams. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Shawn, Kyle, Gaige, Brianna and Kinley. His sister Sharon King and brother Ron Lankford.  In addition to his parents, he was also proceeded in passing by his former wife Sharon Logsdon.  Larry was a loving Dad, Papaw and friend who was loved by many, he made friends everywhere he went. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten.
