Joshua Lee Cox

Joshua Lee Cox of Indianapolis passed away unexpectedly from this life on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the age of 36 in Marion County, Indiana, and the cause of death is under investigation.

He was born on February 16, 1985 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of Jeffery DeBerry and Sheila Cox. God son of Bobby & Patsy Ray.

Joshua was raised on he west side of Indianapolis. He was such a loving, kind hearted & gentle man who never met a stranger. Joshua was a comedian in his own way and he has a beautiful smile that lit up the world. Joshua had more friends than he could count but loved all of them like family. He was an amazing big brother to his little sister and was truly proud of her no matter what. Joshua was crazy in love with his longtime girlfriend and rarely did you ever find one of them without the other. He was an overprotective uncle to six. Joshua had four children that he loved unconditionally and more than anything in the entire world. No matter the battles Joshua was fighting, he was always smiling.

Joshua is survived by Nicole Libertino; his sister Toni Cox; his four children, Jada Cox, James Cox, Kyia Cox, and Kendall Cox; his nephews Dallen, Carson, and Lincoln; his nieces Haiden, Makensi, and Paiton. He is also survived by his parents Jeffery DeBerry & Sheila Cox.

He was proceded in death by his Godparents Bobby and Patsy Ray, and his childrens mother Amanda Kelso.

A Celebration of Joshua's life will be held on Monday June 14, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.
