Jeremiah Rohl Obituary

Mr. Jeremiah Jerome Rohl, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at IU Health University Hospital. He was 41. Jeremiah was born July 26, 1978 in Cloverdale, Indiana, a son of James and Gloria (Bravo) Rohl.

Jeremiah was a graduate of Cloverdale High School and was also a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and the University of South Florida. While in high school and college, he participated in wrestling and had trained in Colorado for a position on the United States Olympic wrestling team. He also was a wrestling referee while living in Florida.

Jeremiah enjoyed nothing more than spending leisure time with his wife, being outdoors enjoying activities such as mountain and road biking, hiking, traveling, and going on cruises. He was an avid baseball fan and especially the St. Louis Cardinals. Jeremiah cherished the time he could spend with his wife, family and friends. He was employed with Aerodyn Engineering serving as a Manufacturing Resource Planner and EDM Unit Manager.

Jeremiah is survived by his wife, Laura Kay (Dempsey) Rohl, whom he married October 27, 2013 aboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas, his parents, James and Gloria Rohl; his brother, Jason Rohl; his grandmother, Anna Bravo; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Buddy and Cathy Dempsey; a brother-in-law, Kyle Dempsey; a nephew, Kayden Dempsey; his aunts, Virginia Bravo and Silvia Bravo; uncles, Ray Bravo, Bill Whittley, Jackie Whittley and Wayne Davidson; a large extended family and a host of ‘best friends’. He is also survived by his dog, Lou Brock Rohl and two cats, Chewbacca Rohl and Olivia Rohl.

He is preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, his maternal grandfather as well as several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Life Gathering from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, Friday, March 13, 2020 at the American Legion, 601 South Holt Road., Indianapolis.

Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis has been entrusted with the arrangements.
