Jeremiah Daniel Johnson

Mr. Jeremiah Daniel Johnson, Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 25, 2020. He was 31. Jeremiah was born August 6, 1988 in Indianapolis, a son of the late Stuart G. Johnson and Teresa G. Owens.

Jeremiah attended Indianapolis Public Schools, namely Emma Donovan Elementary and Garden City Elementary Schools and Washington Middle School. He enjoyed taking selfies, playing games on his phone, Facebook and other social media and loved all genres of music. He was a generous young man and would help anyone whenever he could. He also had a love for animals and took in many strays and cared for them.

Jeremiah is survived by his mother, Teresa (JD) Owens, a daughter, Cloee Danielle Johnson; his grandmother Nellie Spears; his brother, Christopher Johnson, his aunts, Tammie Groce, Andrea (Robert) Smith, Gayle (Wesley) Weiss, Lisa (Tony) Guererro, Gretchen (Mike) Canner, Susan (Tony) Clingman and Racheal (Clint) Giordani; his uncles, Lonnie Groce and Dustin Groce; a niece, Kyla Johnson; a nephew, Germaine Johnson as well as several cousins.

He is preceded in passing by his father, Stuart Johnson; a brother, Stuart Johnson, Jr.; a nephew, Jonathan Johnson and a niece, Teresa Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service at the mortuary. Burial will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
