James "Jimmy" Jones

James “Jimmy” E. Jones, 79, Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on January 5, 2021 at Indianapolis University Health Methodist Hospital. He was born August 1, 1941, in Indianapolis to the late Mildred Brown. James was married to Mary Jones in Indianapolis.

James enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and going to the cabin at Lake Melissa were some of his favorite pass times. He loved spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife Mary; children Linda Hawkins, Richard (Linda) Hawkins and Jimmy Jones; grandchildren Jamie Nogle, Rich Hawkins and Mr. Hawkins. He is preceded in passing by his parents and brothers John Brown and Fred Groves.

Services for James will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 11, 2021 at Norman F. Chance Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 504 National Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. Calling will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
