James A. "Jim" Board, Jr., 64, passed away on the early morning of Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Indianapolis. He was born August 14, 1953 a son of the late James A. and Mary A. (Eads) Board, Sr. in Indianapolis.
Jim attended Southport High School and graduated with the Class of 1971. He had been the owner of Quality Termite and Pest Control for several years and was a member of the White River Township Jaycees. Jim enjoyed bowling and had rolled two perfect 300 games. He spent his leisure time camping, fishing, shooting and watching baseball especially the Chicago Cubs. His love of baseball carried over to his grandsons as he took great pride in watching them play. Jim loved his family and the time he spent with them, especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger and was affectionately known as "Big Guy". Jim was a member of the Indian Creek Christian Church.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Debbie (Tapy) Board; his children, Angie (Steve) Kyle and Tony (Nicole) Board; his grandchildren, Jake, Grace, Lehia, Ava, Dominic, Marley and one on the way; his brothers, David (Karen) Board and Jeff Board as well as a brother-in-law, Roger (Barb) Tapy.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until the time of service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, those may be offered to the family in care of the mortuary to assist with the funeral expenses.
