Frances Juanita Hix

Mrs. Frances Juanita Hix, Greenwood, passed away on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2020. She was 82. Frances was born September 17, 1937 in Greeneville, South Carolina, a daughter of the late James M. and Virginia R. (Hickman) Alewine.

She graduated from Seminole High School in Orlando, Florida and spent her working years in retail and was associated with several department stores until retiring from Elder-Beerman after several years of service. She was also a manicurist working from her home for many years. She especially enjoyed shopping as well as crafting, cooking, baking and traveling. Frances dearly loved her family and cherished the moments she spent with them.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Pamela Lunt; her grandchildren, Heather Marie Evans, Robert L. Phillips and Rene Daniele Vosika; her great-grandchildren, Nolan Emerson Vosika, Jacob Evans and Faith Evans; a sister, Cheila (Joe) Griffis as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, William Thomas Hix, a daughter, Tereasa Lane Monroe; a son, William Joseph Cooley and a sister, Patricia Taylor.

Memorial services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
