Dennis “Rusty” Richard Peare, 63, passed away on Sunday, December 5th at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, IN.  Dennis was born July 30, 1958 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS, the youngest child of Robert John Peare and Helen Roberta Marchbanks Peare who are both deceased.    

Dennis is survived by two sons, Mark and Chad Peare, who both currently reside in Smyrna, GA.  He is also survived by his two sisters, Bethany Peare McGuire of Topeka, KS and Nancy Peare Avis who resides in Driggs, ID.

He grew up in Topeka, KS and graduated from Seaman High School in 1976.  Dennis then attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS where he joined the Sigma Nu Fraternity and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  He subsequently became certified and obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).  Dennis enjoyed a long career working for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana and then Baird, Kurtz & Dobson Public Accounting Firm where, in his tenure, he worked in both the Tulsa, OK and Indianapolis, IN offices.  Dennis was well respected and had served in many professional leadership roles which included serving as President of the Oklahoma Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).      

Dennis was an avid sports fan and especially supported his alma mater Kansas State University.  He enjoyed playing golf and boating & fishing whenever and wherever he could.

Arrangements have been entrusted to and handled by Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center in Indianapolis, IN.  He will be put to rest in his hometown of Topeka, KS.
