Daniel Wisley Obituary

Mr. Daniel Alan Wisley, Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019. He was 65. Dan was born February 25, 1954, in Bloomington, Indiana, son of the late Oral Ray and Wilma Pearl (Williams) Wisley.

Dan was a member of the last graduating class at Smithville High School in 1972 and graduated in 1976 from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1979 also from IU. He spent his career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and worked in banking and financial services for over 35 years serving with American Fletcher National Bank, Bank One Mortgage, Forethought Financial Services and ClearPoint Federal Bank and Trust. He was also a 34-year member of Southport United Methodist Church.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Collins Wisley, his daughters, Jill Wisley (Tim) DeBow and Katherine Jane Wisley; his grandchildren, Wren, Simon and Elliot DeBow; a sister-in-law, Debra Wisley; a niece, Regan (Brian) Allenspach; a great-nephew, Riley Allenspach as well as a great-niece, Baeley Allenspach.

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his son, Adam Daniel Wisley and his brother Thomas O. Wisley.

Funeral services for Dan will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, October 14, 2019 at Southport United Methodist Church, 1947 E. Southport Rd. in Indianapolis officiated by Pastor Duane Thompson. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 until 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.

Memorial donations may be made to The Wheeler Mission or The American Meningitis Foundation.
