Mr. Clifton Criscillies, of Spencer, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was 71. Cliff was born June 5, 1948 in Pine Knot, Kentucky, one of eleven children born to Osie and Violet (Lay) Criscillies.
Cliff attended school in Kentucky and lived for a period of time in Michigan before coming to Indianapolis at the age of 15. He was a roofer, having worked in the construction business for 30 years before becoming the owner of C&C Roofing for over 20 years. Cliff was a member of Creekside House of Prayer in Cloverdale.
He spent much of his leisure time hunting and camping as well as being active in his church. Cliff loved his family and friends and enjoyed the time he could spend with them.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Sue (Presley) Criscillies; his children, Lloyd (Sandy) Criscillies and Sherry (Mark) Whobrey; his grandchildren, Mindy Moore, Harlan Flake, C.J. (Tresa) Flake and Marcus (Shelby) Whobrey; several great-grandchildren; his siblings, David Criscillies, Bill Criscillis, Jim Criscillies, Faye Baker and Rose Shindorf as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by three brothers, Paul Criscillies, Estel Criscillies and Larry Criscillies and two sisters, Bessie Meadows and Betty Lay.
Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center is handling the arrangements for Mr. Clifton Criscillies.
