Mr. Billy Jack Wetzel, Jr., Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on the evening of Thursday, July 2, 2020 as a result of an construction accident. He was 30. Billy was born August 9, 1989 in Indianapolis, Indiana, a son of Billy Jack Wetzel, Sr. and Tammy Lee (Spears) Nicholas.
Billy attended Ben Davis High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 2007. He was employed as a carpenter working for Alliance Heights Buildings of Indianapolis. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed working in his yard and all outdoor sports, especially football. He also spent his leisure time watching football on television. Billy was an accomplished artist and enjoyed drawing and painting, but his pride and joy were his children and he loved them and his wife dearly. They were his everything. He had attended the West Morris Free Methodist Church as a youngster.
Billy is survived by his wife, Brookelynn Turk Wetzel; his mother, Tammy Nicholas (special friend, Charles Earl); his father, Billy Jack Wetzel, Sr.; his children, Jeremiah Wetzel, Maylee Wetzel and Jazmine Wetzel; his grandmother, Norma Wetzel (special friend, Roland Van Arsdale); his siblings, Logan Wetzel and Kodi Wetzel as well as several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in passing by his grandparents, Hubert and Virginia Spears and Johnnie Wetzel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm, Monday, July 20, 2020 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis, with burial following at West Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:30 pm, Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Mortuary.
