Betty Louise Mayer

Mrs. Betty Louise Mayer, Greenwood, passed away on the afternoon of Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Greenwood Meadows. She was 87. Betty was born December 8, 1932 in Bloomington, Indiana a daughter of the late Richard and Gladys (Helms) Simmons.

Betty attended Bloomington High School and was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker for her family, whom she dearly loved.

Betty is survived by her children, Joyce (Bill) Bright, Doris Ogborn and Kenneth Lashbrook, Jr.; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her first husband and father of her children, Kenneth Lashbrook, Sr., her second husband, Tom Mayer; a grandchild; a great-grandchild; her son-in-law, Michael Ogborn; as well as her siblings, Paul Simmons, Raymond Simmons, Donald Simmons and an infant sister, Lisa Simmons.

Services for Betty are private with burial following at Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, Indiana.

Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 1202 South Lynhurst Drive, Indianapolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
