In Indonesian, there is one word used for grieving or rejoicing. If the word uses the letter "d," it means grieving, but if the word uses the letter "s," it means rejoicing.  That word always reminds me of the victorious exclamation from the Apostle Paul, "Death has been swallowed up in victory. Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."  Because of the victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ we rejoice in the same hope. So just as easily and quickly as changing one letter in one word, we pray that you will be strengthened and enabled by the Lord Jesus to go from grieving to rejoicing in the hope that He gives us as believers.  May Christ be your family's hope and joy even in the difficult days of adjustment ahead.
