Mrs. Patricia Lee “Pat” Bornstein, of Greenwood, passed away on the evening of Sunday, April 14, 2019 at her residence. She was 79. Pat was born April 3, 1940 the daughter of the late Neal Bailey and Mildred Bailey Smiley.

Pat graduated from Emmerich Manual High School and was employed as a stocker at Target for 17 years until retiring in 2006. She thoroughly enjoyed shopping and eating out and was a loyal Chicago Cubs fan. She received lots of joy from her grandchildren and always enjoyed family reunions. She also attended Southport Christian Church.

Pat is survived by her husband, Richard D. Bornstein; her children, Keith (Kathy) Bornstein, Gregory Bornstein and Theresa Harris; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and her brother, Michael (Connie) Bailey as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the mortuary. Burial will follow to Round Hill Cemetery.

For those choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested they be offered to the Salvation Army.

I am so glad I spent time with you on your birthday, a few weeks ago. It was like old times again talking and laughing. I can't believe you and mom won't be here for me to talk to every day. Just like I told you though listen for me at night I will still be talking to you both and driving you crazy from wherever I am. I sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. I Hope the family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection(Acts 24:15)and the renewed Paradise earth, where death will be no more and no family will mourn the death of a loved one. I am Patricia Underwood. I worked with Pat for years at target. I am so sorry for the family s loss. I did not see the post until this evening. Pat was a wonderful person. She will be missed.
