Psalm 73:26 says “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Brian was a strong man, in heart & soul, and I feel comforted in the knowledge that his heart was for the Lord. His humor & selflesness was a sure sign of this strength in the face of earthly illness; where many others crumble from the weight of it all he was inspirational.
I pray that Brian’s service to his country, family and other brothers & sisters in arms becomes the foundation for Helping Heroes moving forward; that we carry on his spirit with every person that comes to our tables. With Brian no one was a stranger, and you were always one sentence away from him getting started on a story and soon enough no matter who you were you loved the man.
I will always remember Brian and his influence on me as a fundraiser, father and a free man in the best country on earth...free only because of people like Brian.
He truly earned his wings long before he actually got them.
Rest easy, Brian. We all love you and can’t wait too see you again.

I served with Brian at Kaneohe Bay, HI while we were Marines together. He was such a good man and I enjoyed catching up with him at a reunion years ago at Panama City, FL. My deepest sympathies to his family. God bless them and may Brian Rest In Peace. Semper Fi.
