Karen Michelle Proctor, 45, of Moorseville, previously of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday December 2, 2018.  She was born August 11, 1973, in Indianapolis to the late Norman Proctor and Nona Smith Long. Karen was employed as a library cataloger at IUPUI, for the last 20 years.

Karen is survived by her sister Barbara Nichols and Sonya Owens; nephew Larry Long, Jr.; nieces Neva Nichols, Precious Owens, Michelle Lee, and Donna Linville; and several great nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Larry Long, Sr.

Services for Karen will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 8 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be Saturday, December 8, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the mortuary. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Our heartfelt sympathy to Karen and her family.We shall miss her enthusiasm and cheery sense of humor. Seems like only yesterday that she was a student here at IUPUI!

Karen will be sorely missed.

Karen, R.I.H, sweet baby girl, Fly high girl. We never wanted to see you go, But no more pain. You will always be in our heart, So many memories. Donnie loves you and has so many special memories. Always in our heart. As all of us do, You me and momma Jean has our memories, only we share Prayers for all the family, even though i think I am family as well. Fly high baby girl fly high. Gone but never forgotten.
