Gary Duane Watkins, 68, of Indianapolis passed away on October 30, 2018. He was born on August 26, 1950 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Edward and Phyllis Watkins. Gary married Christine "Christy" Watkins on March 3, 1979. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Gary was employed at Flint Group as an Ink Mixer for over 35 years, before retiring in 2012.

He and his wife Christy were entertaining clowns known as “Twinkles” and “Ribbons”. Gary was an avid juggler and balloon twister. Together they loved entertaining others and being with people. He also enjoyed entering sweepstakes, having won many prizes over the years. Gary cherished family time with his children and traveling in their RV. He was a devoted and caring father and husband.

Gary is survived by his children Cory Watkins, Tracy Watkins (Cosmo Buchanan), Shaun Watkins, Alaina Watkins, Cheyanne Watkins; siblings Sandy Bryant (Joe) and Susie Russell (Jeff). He is preceded in passing by his wife Christy; siblings Don Watkins and Judy Alvarez.

Mass of the Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Nativity Catholic Church, 7225 Southeastern Ave. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 1, at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.

Interment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.

Dear Tracy and Cosmo, very sorry for your loss. Tracy you are an amazing daughter I know your Dad was very proud of you for all that you and Cosmo have done to take care of your family. He couldn’t have found a better daughter or son-in-law.
