Marilyn J. Elkins, 84, of Indianapolis passed away June 1, 2018. She was born on May 2, 1934 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Harry and Julia Ewers. Marilyn married Ronald Melvin Elkins who passed away in 2003. She was employed as a waitress at Tee Pee Restaurant for over 25 years, then employed at Waffle and Steak before retiring. Marilyn was an active member of Ladies Only Fitness and attended Greenwood Community Church.

Marilyn is survived by her children Keleen K. Byers (John), Ronnie Elkins, Paul Elkins (Joy), Sandy J. Hull (Tony) and Kathy S. Davidson (Randy); 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and siblings Shirley Morariu, Wayne Ewers and Sharon Rio-Araiza (Sebastian). In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in passing by sister Patricia Snyder and grandchild Dawn Johnson.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 7 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

You were a amazing mother. You always took care of so many people in your life. You never forgot a holiday or birthday. Mom your love went far.
I know you are now look down from heaven watching over us. Your pain is gone.
