I would be remiss if I did not express my sincere thanks to all of the friends and family who have offered words of encouragement, assistance and prayers for my Big Brother. His recent confession of faith in Jesus and baptism was one of the most joyful moments in my life. It took a great deal of introspection, truth seeking and courage to act on his renewed belief.

My warmest regards and Christian love to all who helped Jerry battle this illness and find his way

As Jerry like to say, DR. Douglas Steele (to be known from the introduction forward as, "My Little Brother"

Words are insufficient to describe my feelings for Jerry and the sorrow I feel for his family. . He has been a great friend for over 35 years. He was a master story teller and we made each other laugh for hours. Even though he was a few years younger, I always thought of him as a mentor. He was my ace in the hole. Everyone knew him and everyone who knew him liked him. There is a story of the customer in the car lot lobby telling all those there that he was a close friend of Jerry's while, unbeknownst to him, Jerry was right next to him at the water fountain. Apparently, even those who didn't know him liked him. RIP my friend.

Jerry was a long-time friend and will be sadly missed by many people. I will always remember his friendly smile and warm handshake.

Me, my wife and my sister-in-law (who went to school with Jerry) are very sadden by his passing. Prayers for comfort are being said for his family. Rest in peace, my friend.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jerry. I worked for him for 6 years. He was one of a kind. He was always so good to me. When him and Jerry Boruff got together they would keep you laughing. Jerry had a contagious smile and a kind heart. That's what I remember most. I wish I could be there to pay my respects but I just found out and I live in Tn. I'm praying for all of his family and friends. RIP Jerry.
