Jack Edward Ennis
96, Greenwood passed away at 11:15 PM, January 13, 2019. He was born in Martinsville, IN. Jack was loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather, uncle and friend to many.
He proudly served in the Coast Guard during WW II in the Pacific and his ship was 90 miles downwind when the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima. When he returned to Indiana after the War, he and two of his brothers, Phil and Bill started Ennis Brothers Painting Company. He was a devoted Christian, and always led the family or group in prayer at gatherings.

Jack was preceded in death by his first wife Bethel Oliver Ennis, his brothers Verb, Phil, Bill and Buddy Ennis. Also by his sisters Ann Hirschman and Rosetta Bower, his two grandsons Ron Duke Jr. and Sal Miceli, and great granddaughter Brook Behinfar, daughter-in-law Jacque Ennis, and son-in-law Phil Miceli, as well as several nieces and nephews
Jack is survived by his loving wife Eva Ennis, who remained devoted to him until the end. His daughter Deanna Duke (Ron), Marcia Cales (Joe), Cheryl Miceli, Stephen Ennis (Linda), Michael Ennis (Cyndy), Jerry Ennis, Jack Ennis (Heidi), Joe Ennis (Connie). Grandchildren David Duke, Michael Duke, Robert Duke, Heather Lanpher, Joe Cales, Jr., Beth Miceli-Cooper, Ann Steele, Nick Miceli, Ali Ennis, Stevie Ennis, Kete Ennis, Alex Ennis, Evan Ennis, Courtney Hendress, Mattthew Ennis, Jack Ennis III ,Elise Ennis, Charlie Ennios, Ellie Ennis, as well as 19 Great Grandchildren and 38 Great-Great Grandchildren.

A service of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday 11:00 am, January 21, 2019, at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2019at the Mortuary at 7602 Madison Ave, Indianapolis. Internment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Rd 135, Greenwood.
Contributions may be made to disabled Veterans Group, or any Veteran Group of your choice.
