Scott Christopher Cowden, 30, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018. He was born on January 26, 1988 to William C. and Kathy Dobbs Cowden.
Scott co-owned and managed the Shaver Shop, for the last three years. Scott was a gifted pianist. He played for many soloists. He played for a Christian group. Landmarque Sound. They played at churches and many events. Along with being with the Indianapolis Children's Choir. He also played piano/keyboard for Franklin Central's FC Singers and sang on one of their songs. When he was a student there. He played bari sax and alto sax in the FC Marching Band. As a teen, he competed in Teens for Christ, in voice. Receiving several first place awards
Scot is survived by parents William C. and Kathy Dobbs Cowden; brother Brian (wife Hanna) nephews Chase and Waylon; aunt Lorra Seaney (husband David); and uncle Arthur (wife Winness). He loved spending time with his family and his friends.
Services for Scott will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 31 at Southeast Baptist Tabernacle, 6835 Shelbyville Road. Visitation will be Monday from noon until the hour of service, at the church. Interment will follow at Rocklane Cemetery. Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center is handling the arrangements.
