Iva Pauline Rainwater

Iva Pauline Rainwater, 80 of Indianapolis passed away January 9, 2019. She spent her recent days as a grandmother and great grandmother, previously enjoying many years as a nursing professional, mother, and wife of the late Howard Rainwater Jr.; with whom she worked together in Christian ministry. The couple married on December 3, 1955 in Greenfield, TN. Pauline was born in Rockcastle County, KY, daughter of the late Walter and Mattie DeBord. She was the 7th of 10 children, preceded in death by her 9 siblings. She received her RN degree from Fort Sanders Presbyterian School of Nursing in Knoxville, TN. Pauline is survived by daughter Pamela Pratt of Indianapolis; son Steven (Kalina) Rainwater of Orlando, FL, nine grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.

Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 12 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service at the mortuary. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial gifts are suggested to Good News Ministry.
