Carolyn Ellis Obituary

Carolyn Sue Ellis passed away December 19, 2018.  She was born October 18, 1937 and was a lifetime resident of Indianapolis.   She was the daughter of the late George Gerald Smith, Sr and Gertrude Loraine Whitington  Wright.  Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Larry Niles Ellis, her brother George Gerald Smith Jr.  sister Geraldine Joyce Molenour (Ray), her children Cindy Dawson, Christy (Tom) Barclay, Carry (David) Crist, Cathy (Nate) Hendrickson, Joshua (Eva) Ellis as well as 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Carolyn worked as a Real Estate agent for several years, but her passion in life was her family.  She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Her hobbies included gardening, swimming, music, genealogy, church service, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.  

Visitation will be on Friday, December 21, from 4 to 8 pm at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center.  Services will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, December 22 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 900 East Stop 11 Road Indianapolis.  Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
