James G. Hicks, 84, of Indianapolis passed away on September 4, 2017. He was born on June 13, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Fred and Dora Hicks. James was the owner of Service One Manufacturing; retiring in 2002 previously he was the owner of Indianapolis Kellering. He was a member of General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn.

James is survived by his wife Janice Hicks; daughter Bekki Hicks; son Tim Hicks; step-daughters Vicki Hartmann and Denise (Don) Grafe; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his wife Jackie Bakemeyer Hicks, wife Joyce Ellis Hicks, parents, son James Hicks Jr. and siblings Fred Hicks, Rose Miller and Evelyn Koegen.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will follow at New Crown Cemetery. Online condolences may be extended to the family by visiting www.singletonmortuary.com.
