Charles W. Hodges, 90, Beech Grove, passed away January 22, 2013. He was born March 11, 1922 in Martinsville to the late Charles and Florence Elliott Hodges. Charles married Mary Mudd on July 7, 1942 in Indianapolis and she survives. He was employed 45 years at RCA retiring as a mechanic. His memberships include Olive Branch Christian Church and RCA Retirees and former member of Indianapolis Hiking Club. Other survivors are daughters Charlene (John) Schofield of Beech Grove, Cathy Nelson of Indianapolis and Beth (Hubert) Rethmeier of Beech Grove; son Charles David (Sue) Hodges of Minneapolis; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one great grandchild and sisters Pansy Gray and Violet Asher. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 26 at Union Cemetery, Martinsville. Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 25 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Memorials have been suggested to Charity of Donor’s Choice.
