95, Greenwood, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012. She was born on June 25, 1916 in Louisville, KY to the late Clifford and Ida Siler Peters. Ferda married Edward V. Knartzer on May 30, 1937 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on December 30, 2009.

Survivors include her son, James F. (Jan) Knartzer, Greenwood; grandchildren, Kim (Rob) Dinkel, Greenwood, Kurt (Megan) Knartzer, Trafalgar, Kevin Knartzer, Indianapolis, Edward Knartzer, Kenneth Knartzer, Greenwood and Karl (Katie) Knartzer, Greenwood; seven great-grandchildren and brother, Clifford "Bud" Peters, Indianapolis. She was also preceded in death by sons, Edward and Kenneth Knartzer and sister, Catherine Mueller.

Ferda was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 10. Prayers will be at 9:15 a.m. May 10 in Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center . Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9 in the mortuary. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
